The Virginia Association of Planning Commissions (VAPDC) returns with a short series of educational and informational programs to kick off the new year. These three online meetings will cover pertinent topics just in time for the start of 2025. So, mark your calendar for

The 2025 General Assembly is Upon Us!
​The 2025 General Assembly will convene in early January. This is the so-called “short” (46 days) session. It’s a lot of legislation and changes to the current biennial state budget all packed into a short six-plus weeks. This session will provide an overview of the legislative process, highlight the governor’s budget proposal and review anticipated legislative issues of interest to localities and regions.
